Threaded Gate Valves
Description
Threaded gate valves, also known as screwed gate valves, are mainly used for allowing or preventing the flow of liquids in pipelines. KERUI’s valves have passed API 6D / CE certification. And those API 6D gate valves are widely applied in the fields of tap water, sewage, construction, petroleum, chemical, food, medicine, shipbuilding, textile, electric power, metallurgy, energy system, etc.
Features
1. Easy to open and close, and convenient to install and maintain.
2. Small flowing resistance. Because fluids in threaded gate valves are often flowing in a straight-line direction.
3. High corrosion resistance.
4. Very low frequency of water hammer phenomenon.
5. Small opening torque.
6. Smooth and fine in appearance.
Maintenance
1. If by-pass valve is combined with threaded gate valves, the by-pass valve should be open first to balance the entrance and exit’s pressure.
2. Hand wheel, handle, and transmission structure of screwed gate valves cannot be lifted up and down. And collision is prohibited.
3. Dual gate valves should be installed vertically, that’s to say, the stem is in vertical direction and handle wheel is at the top.
4. If those API 6D gate valves are used frequently, please lubricate them at least once per month.
Attention
1. Before installing threaded gate valves, please check valve body, sealing surface and other parts to avoid any dirt attachment.
2. Bolts at any connection joint should be fastened.
3. Inspect the packing part to ensure excellent sealing performance and flexible opening.
4. When installing, some space should be left for screwed gate valves to actuate.
5. The connection of actuating devices should be strictly conformed to circuit diagram.
6. Threaded gate valves should be maintained regularly.
7. Avoid collision or extrusion.
